In a career spanning 30 years, Rick Brunermer has built a reputation as one of the most soulful and versatile saxophone players on the Jersey Shore. He has performed or recorded with many national acts; Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Mariah Carey, Stevie Wonder, Michael McDonald, Jewel, Cindi Lauper, Trisha Yearwood, Rob Thomas, Stephanie Mills, Dave Mathews, India Arie, the Jimmy Dorsey Band, the Nelson Riddle Orchestra, and Tony Bennett are several of his realizations.

All this after a quiet childhood growing up in the suburbs of Indiana, where he learned to play the saxophone, and fell asleep at night listening to all the old soul artists on a the latest technological gizmo, a little Japanese transistor AM radio. After graduating from the University of Miami, he began his professional life as an orchestra leader for two years on various cruise ships. He spent a year on tour with Grammy‐winning R&B gospel singer Larnelle Harris, and toured with India's premier Grammy-winning film soundtrack composer AR Rahman (Slum Dog Millionaire).

Rick is currently in demand as a studio session player, where his talent can be heard on various jingles nationwide. He has several published songs to his credit. A founding member, he directs and arranges for the Motor City Revue horn section, a powerful Motown tribute band. Rick is also a founding member of the very popular band, Line Drive; a mainstay of the Jersey Shore, as well as a founding member of the huge musical charity, Holiday Express, where he leads and arranges the horn section. A wonderfully versatile player, he is also a member of the Nelson Riddle Orchestra! He teaches privately, and also wages music with the very soulful New Jersey powerhouse, Cashmere!
