Virtuoso Tenor Saxophone

Dave Watson is a music entertainment professional with over 30 years experience in the industry, possessing a unique blend of skills in recording and live performances. His main instruments are Tenor, Baritone Saxophones, Flute, Alto Flute and Bass Clarinet. Dave's knowledge and experience in recording in a wide variety of music genres including R&B, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Pop, Rock, Gospel and Adult Contemporary. He has been a music educator for 18 years in New Jersey Public Schools, with a BA in Music Education.


David is truly a “force to be reckoned with” when it comes to teaching. His love and enthusiasm for teaching ignites a real fire in his students and makes them want to be the best they can be. He possesses a B.A. in Music Education with a minor in jazz. He taught for 10 years at Bayonne High School in Bayonne, New Jersey as the Band Director from 1984-1994. He also taught at Harrison High School in Harrison, New Jersey for 8 years as the Music Director and ran the entire music program on his own from 1994-2002. His responsibilities included Marching Band, Concert Band, Concert Choir, Jazz Ensemble, General Music and numerous small ensembles. His Concert Choir sang in 5 languages and his Marching Band became the 1st Competitive Band Harrison had ever seen. He has a total of 18 years experience at the High School level. He has led award winning Jazz Ensembles, Concert Bands, Marching Bands, and Concert Choirs. David has 8 students who have gone on to become music teachers themselves due to the inspirational nature of his teaching techniques. 

His Performance credits include:  Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, India Arie, The O’Jays, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, The Police, and The Sugar Hill Gang to name a few. During his last Tour with Alicia Keys in 2008 they performed 103 Concerts in 30 countries. When not touring he teaches private Flute and Saxophone, he also does recording sessions and Live Show with his horn section Chops Horns.
