A student from the School of Arts in Caguas, Conservatory of Music, University of Puerto Rico and City College in New York, Charlie has interpreted and recorded among musical legends, including Tito Puente, Eddie Palmieri, Dizzy Gillespie, Macoy Tyner, Wynton Marsalis, Dave Valentin, Hilton Ruiz, Paquito de Rivera, Michael Camilo, Sheila E., Ray Barretto, Marc Anthony, India, Fania All Stars and many others.


With six productions of his own, he has been able to perform his music in the best Jazz Festivals around the world including Europe, United States, Japan and Puerto Rico, getting excellent reviews. His work has been pre-nominated for a Grammy award and "The Watermelon Man" video was nominated for Billboard award. As a guest artist, he has participated in numerous television shows, including "The Tonight Show."

Currently living in Puerto Rico and with great energy, he continues with his group, "Turnaround," educating and creating music to please audiences and jazz enthusiasts alike.
